Spring Semester

Hello My Friends,

I can't wait for the new semester to start. Only because that means we can get back training. Our classes are going to be in 507 of the field at 830 pm like last semester, but with a full time instruct John Gutta teaching five classes a week.
This should give a continuum of instruction that will allow us to get better faster. Dues will be adjusted up to 100 dollars. Hopefully everyone can either pay their dues by Monday the 23 of Januarty or make other arrangements with me.
I hope to see everyone back up in the room.

Wednesday Gi class 830pm

Thursday NoGi class 830pm

Friday NoGi Open Mat at 8pm

Saturday Gi Open Mat at 1pm

Sunday Advanced Class at 4Pm

Elections Monday

We will hold elections for all officer positions a week from this monday. Please try to make it.

Thanksgiving Open Mats

Because of the Holiday the Fieldhouse will be closed during our normal times, but we are going to be try to get together everyday beside thanksgiving. At Four PM. Classes will most likely consist of a warm up followed by rolling.

We will Keep the usual gi no gi schedule.

Friday No Gi

At 4 PM. (until someone kicks us out.)

Bowling Tonight, Tacos tomorrow

Tonight after class we are going to go to Colonial Lanes at 10 for bowling food and partake in activities. Also, we will have a group going to El Paso (next to Hyvee on the Coralville strip) for the fights tomorrow night. Pedro will be at both. Feel free to come out.

Hawkeye BJJ won the team title at US Grappling Chicago! This is Hawkeye BJJ's first team title!

Pedro will start teaching classes starting this Monday. It is great to have our teacher back.

Be prepared for a one time drop in fee for all of Pedro's Classes.

We will have one or two no gi classes, I will post tomorrow if no gi will be Tuesday, Thursday, or both.

Time Adjustment for Saturday

So the the Seminar will be at three on saturday so we can all watch UFC together at El Paso taqueria. Hope to see everyone soon. Everything else is the same.

New Hawkeye BJJ Highlight

NOGI Class Today and Jimmy Next Week

Today's nogi class will Be moved to 530 due to an Akido Seminar.

Jimmy Cerra will here TOMORROW.
He will teach class as usual monday thru thursday. For two weeks.
Friday at 8 we will have a gi class instead of open mat for two weeks.
This Saturday at one will be a free to club members Gi Seminar
This Sunday at three will be a free to club members NOGI Seminar.

And Pedro will here the first three weeks of november.
